Both the statements are totally untrue. A pregnant woman’s body undergoes a lot of change during pregnancy. One of the more common skin changes is the line that shows up on the stomach. Some women experience it, others don’t. The line that shows up on the stomach is called the linea niagra and it is hormonal in nature. Pregnant moms also have other skin issues like acne, stretch marks etc. All these skin changes are completely normal and have no bearing to the gender of the baby.
